This is indeed “dark” chocolate and not “bittersweet” as the label on the Toblerone package indicates; so it is rather sweet, but unlike USA produced products still tastes like that apparently elusive substance known as chocolate. The honey almond nougat is unfortunately mostly lost amidst the chocolateness, but it gives the bar a nice crunch when it is hastily chewed, or a slight stickiness when the bar is slowly savored. In short you can make a meal out of–a portion–of this bar. It’s not some vile brown sugary confection, nor is it a gourmet experience; it’s simply a satisfyingly rich chocolate bar.Yummy! I really like the Toblerone dark chocolate version better than the milk chocolate version. Toblerone uses honey in this chocolate, which I prefer over sugar. Very tasty product.Outstanding value for the BEST dark chocolate! (2007-05-12)
I have had the oppoertunity to try this chocolate before, but I could not find it any of my local stores. Most stores carry the milk chocolate and the white chocolate versions of this confection but not the dark. It arrived before the estimated arrival date in perfect condition, it’s fresh, and the price was outstanding compared to most designer dark chocolate bars. This is great dark chocolate at a great price from an excellent vendor.
