Gone fishin’ (2007-01-05)
I had this product about 3 years ago and have not been able to find it locally since. As I have had great luck in the past with Amazon’s huge variety of products, I sought and found this tasty item. The fish is firm, very white and mellow tasting and the mustard is a softer version of the hot dog type sold in the US. With a very faintly sweet quality it is a perfect accompaniment to the herring. Look at it as “a kinder, gentler sardine.” I enjoy it on whole grain crackers but it’s pretty nice on toast, too. An added bonus is it doesn’t smell “fishy” the way sardines do so my coworkers allow me to eat my lunch with them once again.
