Bry’s is the best (2008-02-11)
Very good GF bread. Makes great croûtons. It doesn’t freeze well for more than a week so maybe it’s not something you can stock up on but very good all the smae.Great for French Toast, not much else (2008-02-10)
This bread makes fantastic French Toast. But it is very crumbly when taken out of the package. Must be toasted to be edible, but most purchased gluten free breads have the same problem. One of my loaves had a failed vacuum seal, but Gluten Solutions agreed to send me a replacement even though I bought it from Amazon. They don’t print any “baked on” or “use by” date on the package, which I think is odd, and called the company to ask why. Answer was that it’s good for a year unopened. But when does the year start?Best I’ve tried (2007-11-16)
This is the best GF bread I have ever tried. I’m happy that Amazon started carrying it. Almost as good as regular. My daughter loves it for peanut butter & jelly. Best served toasted!Not as good as Glutino “Corn” (starch) Bread. Too Crumby as well. (2007-10-23)
I have tried Bry’s bread as well as Sterk’s Sandwich bread through Gluten solutions. Both in many ways are similar to Glutino “Corn” Bread. Glutino is hands down the best of the three. All three are made primarily with cornstarch and all three are fairly similar in taste and texture but Sterk’s and Bry’s Bread are almost entirely crumbled when you receive them. I spent close to $8 a loaf for Sterk’s Bread and too much for this one as well but (as gluten free bread goes) Glutino “Corn” Bread is the best because the slices don’t crumble. I have bought three loaves so far of the Glutino “Corn” Bread and NONE of the three loaves crumbled. I thought for the longest time that glutino Corn Bread was made from yellow corn meal so I didn’t buy it but it’s made of cornstarch and is quite good. (again, as gluten free bread goes).
