Low Carb Bread Mix (2008-02-22)
This bread mix is easy to use and has good texture and flavor. It’s an important part of my Atkin’s Diet. I recommend it to anyone trying to cut down on carbs.great low carb bread (2008-02-09)
I have been using this bread for over a year. Here are some tips for first time buyers. If you want to make sure the bread will rise properly be sure all ingredients and even the pan are very warm . I use 3/4 cup soy slender (1 carb per cup) in place of the cream, it makes the bread tender instead of chewy. I also use 8 drops of sweetzfree. That is liquid splenda for those of you not familiar with it. One drop is equal to one teaspoon of powdered splenda. Mix it in with the soy milk. since the soy milk is sugar free the spenda gives the bread a better flavor. This bread mix makes a very hardy bread, something like French or Italian so if your looking for that soft white bread, this bread is not for you.Disappointed (2008-01-28)
Sounded good in the description-a low carb, lower calorie bread. It baked up fine in my bread machine but tasted terrible. It was rubbery and tasted like Metamucil.Globs of Gobby Glue (2007-12-31)
What a disappointment this was. I read all reviews and purchased. Made a loaf in my Breadman bread machine (which makes great bread), and it came out inedible. Dough didn’t rise properly; when finished the bread wasn’t baked properly and all I had was a machine full of messy uncooked dough inside with some cooked and dried out dough on the outside. Amazon was amazing, as usual, and refunded.
