I hated Halvah… until I bought this one (2008-03-31)
I had no interest in Halvah. I hated the texture and the taste. But my wife likes it, so when this went on sale, I bought a box of the pistachio and a box of the “deluxe” for her. She was pleased with the products, but to my great surprise, I found I also enjoyed both flavors very much! The texture is slightly crumbly; it is not cloyingly sweet; the bars contain real pistachios or other nuts. This was a terrific buy, given the price and quality.barely resembles Halvah (2008-03-27)
I live in an area with a very large Arab and Jewish population. When I wanted Halvah, I just bought it anywhere and enjoyed it. My experiences completely unprepared me for this product. This product is completely tasteless and has a texture of bad, dry sand. I wonder if it supposed to be some sort of low fat, diabetic version. Well it isn’t promoted as such and I recommend completely avoiding it.Great halva(h) bars! (2008-03-12)
