Not what I expected, and that’s a bad thing… (2007-05-05)
Well, I’m a huge and I mean HUGE Dr Pepper fan. I look everywhere for products that bear it’s name or flavor. I have searched in vain for the old gum that had the syrup inside of it, and I love the Jelly Belly jellybeans. The new Dr Pepper Rush Rox are darn good too. So when I came across a beef jerky actually marinated in Dr Pepper? I was ecstatic. BUT….the package came and I tasted it. And? Nothing…it tastes the same as any other beef jerky I’ve had. I understand it wouldn’t be like eating Dr Pepper in solid form but there wasn’t even a hint of that tell-tale taste to it. Just your standard beef flavor, and to tell the truth, the stuff from Wal-mart tastes better. I only can dream of what could have been…
