Could not live without this …. (2008-04-05)
This stuff works so well! It’s not available in stores in my area any longer, so I’m so thankful it’s offered online!!!Watch out!!! What else ingredients is in this “healthy” bran cereal? (2008-03-24)
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
This would be a good choice of getting your daily fiber only if it did not contain HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!
The giant company should certainly be responsible and help American fight obesity while making profits.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXAspartame in cereal? (2008-03-02)
Lots of people avoid diet drinks to avoid aspartame. People who get migraines, in particular, should avoid this common trigger.
Who would ever guess that companies would dose a “health” cereal with this nasty stuff?High Fructose Corn Syrup (2008-02-03)
A product that purports to be healthy should not contain the ingredients on the label. Kellogg’s got greedy, profits come before health. I recommend looking at products from the Kashi brand.Great nutrition - just don’t eat it plain (2007-09-05)
I bought this cereal for its health benefits, and it is everything I was looking for in a high-fiber cereal. That is, I knew better than to buy it for its taste. Instead, I put it in my mini-food processor and grind it until it is about 1/2 dust, 1/2 what looks like rabbit food pellets (maybe it would be more consistent with a better chopper, but it suits its purpose). Then I pour an equal amount of milk or more over it and let it sit about five minutes. PRESTO! You now have an incredibly good-for-you base ingredient I like to call “bran sludge.” Despite the catchy name, this is a terrific mixture. Use it in smoothies (a little more milk, vanilla yogurt, fresh or frozen fruit and ice — add whatever else you like, such as whey powder, peanut butter, etc. or leave it with just those ingredients — it’s a very healthy and tasty breakfast or snack. I also use it to make breakfast breads healthier. Amazingly, the terribly bland taste is masked completely as it becomes a medium for other flavors. Trust me, if you find it hard to be healthy because of taste, but know you should be good to your body, there are ways you can be happy with a very healthful diet.
