As a vegetarian, I like to eat soy chips because they provide an easy source of protein. I have tried many different brands and flavors, and frankly some are so dry and tasteless that it’s like eating a cake of dirt and you can barely choke it down.

But these Stacy’s Sticky Bun crisps are the best soy chips I’ve ever tasted. As soon as I took a bite of the first one, I said, “Wow!” It’s like eating a decadent dessert. They’re so delicious I would love to eat them every day, but I will limit them to an occasional indulgence because they are higher in fat and sugar than most other soy chips.

I also enjoyed the Stacy’s Sweet Barbecue flavor. I’m usually wary of barbecue snacks because some are so hot they set your mouth on fire, but these had just enough spice to provide pleasant pizzazz without being overwhelming.

I saved money by ordering the Sticky Bun and Sweet Barbecue flavors together, and I was happy to see that the products, which I ordered in September 2007, had an expiration date of March 2008. Some of the snacks (not Stacy’s) I’ve ordered on Amazon have only had maybe a month left before their expiration date, forcing me to eat more than I really want in order to use them up before they spoil.

My only question about Stacy’s soy chips is, why does Amazon sell the Simply Cheese flavor only in 1-ounce bags? Since the other two flavors I’ve purchased were so good, I’d like to try the cheese flavor, but I want to buy the 3.5-ounce size bags, not individual servings.Best soy chips (2007-08-30)

Stacy’s Soy Crisps are great. I have been ordering them from another online vendor for awhile, but Amazon had such a great price that I decided to try ordering from them instead. The product arrived on time and tasted fresh (not stale, since I thought the great price might be because they were selling “old” product). We love the flavor of these soy crisps! They make a healthy snack that is mildly sweet. Great snack when you want that little something sweet.
