Customer Reviews:
Biggewst Bang for your Buck for quality tea. (2008-02-05)
Taylor’s of Harrowgate put out a very very fine bulk loose tea product that is the biggest bang for your buck. Why pay $6 or more in the store for 3.5 ounces of loose tea, or worse yet, $3 or more for 1.25 ounces of tea in tea bags, when you can get 24 or even 35 ounces (depending on what variety) for $25 to $40?
This product comes air tight sealed in a mylar plastic bag with a silver liner to keep out the light, and stores very nicely in your cabinet after opening in a one gallon zip lock style bag in a DARK PLACE away from the light. i have also heard of people storing in it your freezer too, but from what I understand that’s not recommended.
A nice medium strength tea that takes sugar or honey well, not too “orangery”.
I make two pots of tea a day, and to avoid all the hassle and mess I use a 4 cup “French Press” Coffee Maker (available for about $25). I pour the tea leaves out into the sink when I am done into a 2 cup fine mesh strainer with handles, and let drain for 10 minutes, and then knowck it upside down in the trash bin. No mess, ne funky tea leaves in your cup, no messing around with those dumb egg shaped tea infusers that always seem to come apart anyway and flood your cup with tea leaves.
I recommend this brand of tea to every one, and plan to try all the varieties of it!A good buy (2007-01-13)
I am an avid Ceylon tea drinker. Never liked coffee. It is difficult to find good, loose Ceylon tea, but this stuff is very good as is the price. I keep what isn’t in the tea caddy in the freezer and the huge bag is quite a bargin.
