Tastes like cake mix (2008-04-14)
I really wanted to like this muffin mix. There’s something in cake mixes that distinguishes the taste of the cake from homemade - and sadly, this muffin mix seems to have that flavor. In a pinch, these are easy to mix up. I had high hopes for these muffins, but my family thought they were just okay. Substituting some fresh lemon juice (preferably Meyer lemon) for the water might improve the flavor.Excellent muffin mix, easy and delicious… (2007-03-30)
I love this muffin mix, it is quite easy to make…just add 2 eggs and water. The muffins only take 20 min to bake and they taste delicious! My kids and I love them. When I make a batch the whole thing is gone by the end of the day…..
