Conch, not. Good, yes. (2008-02-01)
If these Chilean guys are technically related to an actual conch (not sure), they don’t taste like it. The cans are about 1/2 sardine size, and the little snail-like meats are the size of small clams. The clean apricot colored meat is relatively tender and has a mild clam taste. Nothing wrong with the product at all, but don’t buy these thinking you’re getting conch meat. Think more like a mild Scungilli, a role for which they would be well suited.
